XFS has three inode structures
XFS inode
In-memory XFS inode used only by the filesystem
Ondisk inode
Used for storing the metadata for files, directories and other file types
Default size is 256 bytes and can be up to 2KB
Embedded within the XFS inode
Linux inode
Generic inode structure used by VFS
Embedded within the XFS inode
